The Brookhaven Village Association has offered a scholarship since 1978 to an outstanding graduating senior who resides in Brookhaven Hamlet and who plans on continuing his or her education. Several years ago the award was rededicated in the memory of former BVA member Virginia Brown. The Association awards two scholarships, $2000 and $1000. The scholarships are presented annually at the Bellport High School Senior Awards night usually held in June.

The Brookhaven Hamlet Foundation has taken over the administration of the scholarship fund and awarded its first scholarships in June of 2016. The BHF will be continuing the good work of the BVA scholarship fund and all donations are now tax-deductible.  Click for donation form.
